Yves Salomon

Yves Salomon carries two lines for men: the classic Yves Salomon Men collections, and the streetwear-inspired Army Men. For the Fall/Winter 18-19 season, both seek inspiration from an urban lifestyle, each in its own signature style.

At the main line, casual silhouettes are imbued in sober colors such as dark blue and black. A series of parkas, bombers and down jackets come in a variety of noble materials, with a few novelties such as the gabardine, which is re-worked for a superior fit. Interiors in racoon, fox and mink, as well as Loro Piana cashmere join luxurious details such as mink collars and pockets stuffed with fox fur.

As for the Army line, new materials and concepts bring life to the vintage, 70s spirit that permeates the collection. A range of pieces come as doubles– for instance, a parka is attached to a bomber jacket, which serve as its lining. Another leading concept of the collection, feather-filled down jackets come in leather and shearling, as well as the classic nylon style. Some styles are reversible, asserting this technique as a signature Yves Salomon style. The accessories get an upgrade this season, with fanny packs, caps and Russian military-inspired ushanka hats integrating shearling as main material.
