AGAIN / STEVEN PASSARO / VALETTE STUDIO
This SS26 collection is inspired by the delicate transition from spring to summer in the rural landscapes of Jura. Here, nature adorns itself with lush, abundant greenery, full and overflowing, offering a spectacle of colors and shapes. The worn farms and barns from the designer’s childhood blend with the industrial lines of peri-urban areas, forming a harmonious tableau that captures the essence of the Jura countryside.
As the sun grows stronger, the landscape blossoms into a sunlit fairy tale, with blooming fields and bright weather. The town of Arbois, the heartbeat of this region, adds a rustic and authentic touch to this universe, where dominant tones oscillate between warm grey, white, khaki, and pale pink.
This collection captures the spirit of Jura in a suspended world where rustic rural beauty meets contemporary elegance.
Steven PASSARO founded his eponymous brand in 2019, shortly after graduating from the London College of Fashion. It was born from the need to offer a conscious wardrobe for the modern sensible men.
Products feature traditional tailoring techniques with a contemporary approach, creating a dialogue around masculinity and gender roles. Excellent and meticulous know-how, it draws its quality from the bespoke industry in designing creations with impeccable details and perfect fit. The brand offers a timeless perspective with subtle and liberating attitudes.
STEVEN PASSARO is dedicated to creating a new future through thoughtful design and a sustainable creative process that reduces its impact on the environment.
The Sun directly overhead
After a winter in the louche Berlin bathed in techno and neon, the hero of the season stops in the Aegean Sea. A tailoring journey between sky and sea, the sun directly overhead, to be precise. The warm stone of ancient ruins, the arid earth under a zenithal light, and the possibility of an island are the backdrop for this summer wandering, whether imaginary or real. The wardrobe designed by Pierre-François Valette is structured yet light. Relaxed style prevails, but elegantly so. Obviously. The purity of the lines evokes the designs and the personal wardrobe of Yves Saint Laurent in the 1970s.
The construction, precise, is emphasized at the shoulders but not excessively. All the pieces, from the safari jacket to the tie via the shirt dress, acquire a new nobility while evoking freedom. Even the fitted waistcoat is becoming popularized. The unisex offering continues at Valette Studio and is enriched with dresses for day and evening. The striped shirt is omnipresent and slightly cheeky. A revisited, assumed urbanity.
